The price of gold (XAU/USD) fell to nearly $3,325 during the European trading session on Tuesday. Yellow metals face slight selling pressure as market sentiment is favorable to risky assets, after U.S. President Donald Trump gave trading partners a grace period to reach a trade agreement.
On Monday, U.S. President Trump signed an executive order allowing Washington to impose new tariffs on imported goods starting August 1, rather than the previously announced July 9. Although Trump did not call it a grace period for the 90-day tariff suspension to allow countries to negotiate import tariff rates, it has bought time for countries to arrange trade negotiations with U.S. negotiators.
In a pleasant market atmosphere, demand for safe-haven assets (such as gold) has weakened.
In addition, the stable US dollar (USD) also limits the rise in gold prices. The dollar index (DXY) tracks the dollar's value to six major currencies, regaining support after a slight correction from its latest weekly high of 97.66 to 97.35 on Monday.

Gold Technical Analysis

Looking upward, gold prices will enter unknown areas after decisively breaking through the psychological threshold of $3,500. Potential resistance levels are $3550 and $3600.
On the other hand, if gold prices fall below the May 29 low of $3,245, it will drag it toward the integer support level of $3,200, followed by May 15 low of $3,121.
